HOW CAN WE HELP?

CAN I ATTEND THE SESSIONS AT MY OWN PACE / ANYTIME THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

 

  • As the sessions will be streamed LIVE, you will only be able to access the sessions at specified time slots.

I LOST MY ACCESS DETAILS. CAN I USE MY FRIEND’S ACCESS DETAILS?

 

  • Access is limited to the unique registered participant only. 

 

I’M UNABLE TO MAKE IT FOR ALL THE SESSIONS. CAN I GET MY FRIENDS TO RECORD THE SESSION? 

  • We’re sorry to hear that you might be held up during some of the live sessions. 

  • Unfortunately, no recording is allowed during the sessions due to privacy issues.

  • Do consider asking your friends to share their notes with you and also what they personally caught from the session! 

 

TECH/ ACCESS

I AM NEW TO ZOOM. WHAT DO I NEED TO BEGIN?

 

You will need to:

 

  • Sign up for a FREE Zoom account.

  • A platform with a web camera and microphone/earpiece with microphone, with the Zoom app installed. 

  • We recommend an iPad / Tablet or Laptop! 

 

I HAVE A ZOOM ACCOUNT FOR SCHOOL/ WORK BUT I DIDN'T USE THAT EMAIL ADDRESS TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  • Please create a new account with the email that you registered with via brushfire.

  • Online access is only granted according to the email address that you used during Brushfire registration. 

DO I SWITCH ON THE MICROPHONE/ CAMERA? 

  • Please keep all audio and visual turned off except for care group and cluster meetings. 

I TRIED LOGGING IN BUT CANNOT ACCESS THE ROOM.

  • Please ensure that your Zoom account is registered to the same email used during Brushfire Event registration. 

  • Only verified participants will be allowed entry to rooms.

  • Do also display your actual name (as per registration) as your Zoom Name.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I LOG IN? HOW WILL I KNOW I AM ACCESSING THE RIGHT LINK? 

  • You will first be directed to a "waiting room", in which we will ‘take attendance’ to admit registered participants to the session.

  • This may take some time so do help us by a) Using your actual name (as per registration) so we can recognise you. b) Come in to the waiting room early (10 to 15 minutes before the start time) so we can admit you quickly in time. 

MY VIDEO IS LAGGING. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  • To prevent video lag, we recommend you close all other applications when the programme is in session.

  • You can also test your internet connection or move closer to your internet router to have a better experience.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. LOG IN TO YOUR ZOOM APP & CLICK ON SESSION LINK. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ENTER DETAILS AGAIN FOR SECURITY PURPOSES.

  • Click 'Register' when done.

     

2. YOU WILL SEE THIS NEXT:

  • Click 'Please click this URL to join'. 

3. NEXT, THIS PAGE WILL APPEAR:

  • Click 'Open zoom.us'.

4. YOU WILL BE PROMPTED TO ENTER THE PASSWORD: 

  • Enter the password given.

  • Click 'Join' when done.

5. DO COME EARLY

Come in early (approx. 15 mins before the start time) so that we can admit you on time.

If you have further problems logging in, please approach your Leader for help.
